So,
After a terrible Accounting final I decide to take a wonderful break and plan my excursions for Europe. I ate dinner with the Jones family and Mr. Jones refused to believe the greatness that is RyanAir. He couldn't possibly believe an airline that gives flights for less than 1 euro. Well, Mr. Jones, I just found a deal right now for a flight from Madrid to Barcelona, on the weekend mind you, for FREE. That's right, FREE. 0.00 Euros, but you have to pay the 9.95 Euro taxes/fees. It's a hard life.

Anyways, for those of you procrastinating adventures in other countries, saying it's too pricey, you're wrong. Go travel. *Ding* You are now safe to travel outside the country!

Una familia?

I just received an e-mail filling me in on where I'll be living for 4 months. I'll be living alone, per my request, with a widow, her 24 year-old son, and their cat (Mom- I wonder if they want Chelsea and Stewart? :-) ). They've housed UCSD students before (isn't that like the #1 party school, with SMU as #2???) and are apparently pretty good. I googled their address, and it's only like ten blocks from school which is absolutely awesome. I even saw their apartment building fromt the google map street view. If I was tech-y I would totally put a picture up. Apologies.

So, it's less than a month to go. I'm very busy worrying about finals... and trying to avoid studying, though I've studied more for these finals than all the other ones combined (minus the time spent on writing final papers...).

Beginnings

Hello All,

I just created my first blog (and this, my first blog post!). As one paranoid of the opportunities others have to see my info, it took me a while...

Regardless,
It's about 35 days until Dallas/Frankfurt flight. I'm nervous, but I'm becoming more excited every day. I can't wait to dive in to Madrid and surround myself in the Spanish language and culture.

I have one more slip of paper to turn in and I'm set... and hopefully my visa arrives soon!
